May 2013 horoscope - Pisces

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is May 2013 horoscope for birthdays from 15th March to 13th April or Pisces Ascendants and Moons

By Louise Gilbert
April 2013 was one of the more intense months of the year so far with the first of the eclipses affecting certain areas in our lives and with the ongoing square between Pluto and Uranus being exact at the end of April. We still carry over the some of the same themes into May although the square is now waning slightly as Pluto is going retrograde until 20th September. For you Pisces, this means that whatever has changed around your finances, whatever milestones you’ve reached or whatever has come into the open and perhaps hit you like lightening will still be on your mind this month and things will need to be dealt with. Although it is still a time of powerful change, transformation and a turning point for many Pisceans, it should feel more like a month of new beginnings and progress rather than sudden developments that took you by surprise.

For the first week in May, the stellium in Aries promises a lot of quick action and reaction, determination and hopefully progress where your financial situation is concerned. Although there may still be some obstacles and some pushing and pulling in this area – perhaps you are still waiting for a loan to go through and your bank manager needs further information or your insurance money, tax that you are owed is held up in the post or salary negotiations for a new job proof a little more difficult than you had expected. But whatever it is, you now know what needs to be done.

All of this is leading up to the solar eclipse this month which, in addition to another lunar eclipse on 25th May - I’ve talked about the lunar eclipse in the area of finance in your chart last month in great detail –, takes place on 10th May. A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon stands between the Sun and Earth. This means that a solar eclipse is always a new Moon, marking new beginnings. However, a new Moon also cuts off the light of the Sun, so whatever is beginning now, may not carry all the details that you need to make informed decisions and really understand what it is that is coming into your life now. As with the lunar eclipse, solar eclipses bring in life’s big events – a marriage or divorce, birth or pregnancy, a house sale or purchase or an important trip. Whatever it is, things are progressing swiftly now and the planets are intent on pushing you towards your next step. Although this also means that something has to end before something new can come in, the emphasis really is more on the beginning than the finish – you’ve done that with the lunar eclipse at the end of April. Whatever is beginning now could be phased in over a period of months and you should expect to reap the rewards of the seeds sown around the time of the next lunar eclipse in October and until February 2014 when you will reach another milestone.

This solar eclipse is in the nakshatra of Bharani, ruled by the Venus, which will be transiting through her own sign of Taurus. The nakshatra of Bharani has an understanding and a sixth sense for the acquisition of accrued wealth but this nakshatra also represents the person who ‘carries and bears’. For you this may mean that although new opportunities around finances appear, it could at the same time result in more responsibility.

For those Pisceans who have had an urge to change not only jobs but profession, the last few weeks may have been crucial and after the solar eclipse, which sweeps in new opportunities and paves the way for your financial projects to take off, you are ready to walk the talk. Your mind starts working overtime and your ideas may really catch on now as you implement new skills that help you make some more money. Part of that may also mean that you’re on the road more often than usual as you go about spreading the word of the great new product you’ve developed or the holistic therapy method you’ve been practicing on people. To me, it’s looking as though this is an expansive and creative time for you that’s all about communication – either with new clients, in a new environment or about a new product – as well as developing new skills and making new experiences as you go along. At this point, Mars, the planet of action, is still in your money house, so you could really go after some extra profits – and get there fast.

But this is not all, Mercury, Venus and Jupiter, your ruler, are all conjunct at the end of the month. This should really be a beautiful time that makes what you’ve worked on up to this point in May ‘more solid’. This includes your finances but also your relationships! Your own ruler, Jupiter, combines with Mercury, the ruler of your house of committed relationships and all around the time of the lunar eclipse. Lunar eclipses are full Moons, so they bring things to an end and a conclusion. This of course can mean that relationships end but it also often means, when you are single, that this period in time heralds the end of that status. As the Moon sits in your 9th house, this could be someone from abroad or someone who at first appears like a teacher to you. There don’t seem to be any obstacles around this person other than you losing yourself too much in the first flushes of romance – but you are a Pisces after all.

Have a thoughtful month, Pisces!
